look around you might find sometime beautiful

I decided to explore around indy today. Its been raining all week and today has been a gorgeous day, i decided to take a few photos. I had heard of this place on the south side of Indy where there is a bunch of graffiti. it is legal graffiti and every labor day weekend people re-graffiti everything. its really awesome! Here are some of the photos i took today....

I just love finding art in unusual places. i wish indy would have more wall art around the city...but all and all it was awesome day to take photos of awesome art :)

Its been awhile....

This has been an extremely busy summer and I haven't had a spare moment to update my blog! I've been keeping up with my 52 week project so I'm going to post a few photos from some of the weeks this summer.
This is this weeks theme: Slow down and look back. We had an air race at my families airport this weekend at Indianapolis Executive Airport. It was awesome! There were so many really cool planes and i took about 150 photos that day. I'll post more later. But going with the theme I submitted this this photo of a 1940's vintage 195 Cessna. Even though I was at an air race this vintage plane makes you stop and just admire the history this plane has.
This is the bean in Chicago. I thought this photo came out awesome and it really doesn't go with the theme of that week, get in close, but I wanted to submit it for that week. I just love chicago and try to go up there as much as possible. looking at this picture makes me miss it. I have a 2 year plan to finish school and move up there...im so hoping it works out
This photos theme was sky. Ive been so into clouds lately im surprised I havent gotten into an accident driving b/c im constantly looking into the sky. I'm going to do some sort of project about clouds when i get a spare moment. I want to do something with my brother, sister and I jumping from cloud to cloud b/c ive always wished i could do that since i was a little girl. This photo i loved the fluffy clouds against the blue sky and the green of the corn.

Work and school are about to start up again so hopefully i can keep up w/ updating this. I have a lot of good photos i want to post!

Spring has sprung!!

I have been completely slacking on my posts! I haven't been inspired lately...ive been keeping up w/ my 52 week project but just been blah lately about it. Spring, though has really gotten me in better spirits :) Heres something i took yesterday
I am so loving all the blooming trees! I may want to move away from Indy but i have to say spring is awesome around here. It makes me excited about whats to come that i know about and the surprises along the way :)
Now my 52 week project: im not going to show you all of the ones i havent posted b/c like i said i wasnt inspired for a while and some of them i took just to post something for that week.
This was last weeks entry "How others see you" I had a really really hard time w/ this one. i thought to much about what i was going to do and everything i came up w/ i hated. I have now officially decided after this week and last that i cant think to much about what im taking b/c usually the photo i take by accident is the one i pick anyways. This photo i took by accident and out of all the photos i took i ended up loving this one. but i still couldn't come up w/ a way to express how others see me w/ it. I ended up asking my friend Sarah to help me. shes been teaching me when she has the time how to do photoshop along w/ me learning off of tutorials online. She guided me along w/ my ideas and this is what came about :)  I was also featured at the end of the week in the 52 week group im in w/ this photo. i am super proud of it and love that i have a friend that can help inspire me so much
This week was "furry friends" I also took this photo by accident but i love it!!! this may make me sound like a crazy cat lady but i love taking pics of her. she is a very pretty cat and very photogenic haha I also get so many comments on Flickr whenever i post any pics of her b/c she is sooo cute :)

With it getting warmer out and summer coming soon i get inspired more and more and im getting out of this hibernation ive been in all winter. I totally had winter blues and i feel awake again. I cant wait to see what i come up w/ in the future...

7,8,9/52

Ok so ive gotten a little behind on my blog postings...ive kept up w/ my 52 week project though but school and work have been completely kicking my butt the past few weeks...so im just gonna post the last three weeks on this one blog i guess im being lazy but at least im doing it :)
This is week 7 "open your heart" I am teaching my self photoshop and my friend sarah is also teaching me a little when she has time. This photo was one of them that Sarah and I worked on together. Im not all about the really photoshopped photos but i wanted to play around w/ it this week.
My whole idea w/ this photo is that this is a self portrait of myself...i try to have my heart opened for love but ive been hurt so many times that i know i hold back a little. thats why i made myself pixelated. i hope someday someone can bring me out of this "pixelated" state and i can experience real unconditional love. i dont know how well i expressed that in this photo but i did learn some new techniques in photoshop...

Week 8 was "the view from here" I went on a mini road trip w/ a couple of my friends to see pioneer woman. We drove from indy to columbus, OH for the day to have her sign her book she just wrote. I documented the whole trip. I have never done a photo collage so i thought what better way to show what we did that day then make one w/ the photos i shot from it. Its the "view" from the road, cracker barrel, getting pedicures, being bored waiting in line, and finally meeting her!! it was fun to just get away even if it was only for the day and hang w/ two of my favorite girls.

And this is week 9 "Express yourself" a couple of my friends and I went downtown to one of the union rallys last weekend that were supporting the Wisconsin union. I captured a lot of really good pictures but i really was drawn to this one for my submission in my 52 week project. I just like the composition of the photograph and he looks like Santa Claus :) I liked how he was expressing himself through his handmade cardboard sign.

So now im caught up! next week is "childhood toys" it should be kinda of fun...i get to play w/ toys and take pictures of it :) we will see what i actually come up w/ i dug through some old boxes at my moms and she threw away most of my old toys :( i did find a lot of legos...

6/52 Words

"when words become unclear, I shall focus w/ photographs. When images become inadequate. I shall be content w/ silence" -Ansel Adams

This was the photo i submitted for week 6 of my project 52 group and it was one of the 10 featured at the end of the week!!! It really doesnt mean anything but its still really awesome to be recognized :)

I love this quote by Ansel Adams and i thought it went perfect w/ the words theme and i love the look of old typewriters so thats where the inspiration for this photo came from.

Heres another shot i did. i have more that i might put up later. i love both of these shots.
